This plate does not trigger a check-engine light when installed as directed. Leave the OEM oil control solenoid plugged in to prevent solenoid-disconnection codes, and keep it securely attached to the engine.

This plate was developed in response to concerns about the OEM oil control solenoid. Development included fitment testing on two of my personal VR30s and testing a CNC-machined version on a handful of VR30s before release. Simplicity and the end user are priorities in my product development.

I ship worldwide. Email or message me if you have trouble during checkout.

Material: Anodized CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum, anodized black finish.

Decision & Installation FAQ

What is this plate intended for, and is it worth installing?

This is an oil-control-solenoid block-off option for compatible VR30 applications. Whether it is appropriate depends on your vehicle's condition and your goals. Compare it with diagnosis and repair or replacement of the original solenoid with a qualified VR30 technician. It is not a guaranteed engine-protection measure or a repair for existing engine damage.

Which vehicles does it fit?

Fits the VR30-powered Nissan Z and Infiniti Q50 and Q60 3.0t. If you are unsure about your engine or a modified setup, contact us before ordering.

Will it trigger a check-engine light?

No, the plate does not trigger a check-engine light when installed as directed. Leave the OEM oil control solenoid plugged in to prevent solenoid-disconnection codes, and keep it securely attached to the engine as shown in the product videos. This does not clear existing codes or prevent unrelated faults.

What symptoms can it address?

The intended focus is the oil-control-solenoid-related concern described on this page, not every cause of low or inconsistent oil pressure. Do not assume a warning light, leak or engine noise means you need this plate. Diagnose the cause first; no pressure increase, symptom cure or engine-protection outcome is promised.

How difficult is installation, and where do I start?

This is intended as a DIY-friendly product, but comfort with engine-bay work matters. Watch the product videos before buying or starting. Confirm your application, review access and the installation sequence, then follow the demonstrated procedure and appropriate service specifications. Reuse the existing OEM bolt and keep the solenoid plugged in and secured. If any step is unclear, stop and ask us or a qualified technician rather than guessing.

What tools will I need?

Plan for suitable hand tools for the existing fastener and a torque wrench appropriate to its service specification. Confirm the exact socket, access tools and tightening specification from the product videos and your vehicle's service information before starting.

What is included, and what is not?

The CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum plate in an anodized black finish only. The existing OEM bolt is reused; no new bolt or separate installation-hardware kit is supplied. Tools, replacement solenoids, engine oil and other consumables are not included.

When should I get professional advice?

Get a qualified technician's diagnosis before installing if you have an oil-pressure warning, abnormal pressure readings, an oil leak or unusual engine noise. Do not continue driving with an oil-pressure warning. Seek help if you are uncertain about fitment, sealing, torque specifications or safely securing the solenoid.
